Stanislav Aristov, a Russian photographer from Ekaterinburg, is known as Pol Tergejst on internet and famous for his magic creation using burnt match sticks (see previous). The totally idea comes from an occasional playing with a box of matches. While looking at the burning match, Aristov suddently began to think of how it represents life – the burnt part represents the past, the smoke is memory and the untouched part is the future.
Then Aristov started to play with matches and created some incredible images with them. By bending the matches into the desired shape while they are burning and then using a macro lens and studio flash he shoots the fire, matches and smoke, Aristov created some mini-sculptures in flame such as flower, insect and chess. Although we all know before you are not just photographs, but photo manipulations, I am still quite amazed by Aristov’s imagination. Technically, it isn’t that complicated to create an image like this. But how many of us will associate burnt match stickes with what Aristov presents? So let’s stop judging how mucu digital process Aristov has applied to the photo. It is still quite pleasure to enjoy those creations. The benefits of doing yoga has been wildly spread out and it seems like not only human beings get it, animals as well. And there are several yoga stars we have spotted in the animal kingdom. If you look at below photos, you might agree with me that they can actually do their yoga postures even better than us. Of course, they don’t really know about yoga and those gestures just how they do when they are playing or stretching. However, with the photos taken at the right moment, certainly we have a lot animals actively participate this healthy exercise.
